He was only defeated because the sun came out from behind the moon when he didn't expect it, reflected off his sword's blade, and blinded him just long enough for Scar to hit him with his classic instakill. And even then, while Scar held his own, Bradley had WON the fight. ![]() That said, his fight with Bradley is nowhere near as impressive as you're making it out to be.īy this point, Bradley has had an eye clawed out, a rifle bullet put in his shoulder from only a meter or two away, nearly drowned, and has been fighting almost nonstop for what's probably hours by this point. Scar is an absolute beast, and is at least on the same level as Mustang and his flame alchemy. Bradley was just a monologueist that wouldn’t shut up, and it got him killed. He could’ve destroyed the sword at any point when it came down. Also, scar would’ve done the same thing he did regardless of the sun in Bradley’s eyes. Take the eye away, and they were on pretty equal footing. Both can throw a punch, but one has the technique, years of experience, and training to be a killer, while the other doesn’t.īradley is a threat. The truth is, Bradley is like a professional boxer, and the rest of the cast is like a drunk bar fighter. None of them had in depth weapons training so that so much as a broom stick could become a murder weapon. “None of the main cast have the experience, or training that Bradley does” realistically? None of central/eastern command was trained in versatile hand to hand combat. I made an effort to address this point as I figured it would be brought up. Hence why the “failed Bradley’s” beat the breaks off mustang and crew. Realistically, if anyone had Bradley’s training and age, they’d be on entirely equal footing. Bradley fought “trainees” until he was turned loose to lead the country. He was an old man with a cheat code that said “hit here to win” and had been fighting longer than anyone in the cast. Yes.īut saying he stood “no chance” and “got lucky” is beyond insulting for someone of his skill. Despite which, as was shown, he can just destroy Bradley’s swords. He didn’t rely on it like everyone else did. Scar however relied SOLELY on hand to hand combat and guerrilla warfare tactics, and only used his destruction alchemy as an assister. Certainly not ones that have been trained FROM BIRTH. Most of the alchemists in central, as well at the main cast are not adept hand to hand combatants. He specifically said to Greed, “it’s so frustrating when your body doesn’t move the way you want it to anymore.” Meaning even if he can identify the weakness, he has to be PHYSICALLY ABLE to attack and exploit it. The ultimate eye only reveals the weaknesses of the thing Bradley is facing, but he’s still human. ![]() If there was ANYONE who stood a chance, it was scar, and he stood a very good chance. That’s a wild take and I cannot and will not agree.
